helping medical clinics - oct 2021

Since our last update we have been busy, three of our church build projects are progressing toward completion and we started construction of a clinic with our friend Pastor Mario Peña MD. Pastor Mario is a Pediatrician and works in an area with many needs. He has participated in Medical Missions for many years.

Speaking of Medical Missions, in June we partnered with Pastor Mario to bring medical clinics to 5 different areas of Guatemala. Starting in Tactic for 2 days, then to Sanarate, then on to LaLabor, and finally in Guatemala City, Zone 18. Each day we worked with our Guatemalan friends to bring Doctor consults and medicine/vitamins to the people. I am amazed at what was done by 4 Americans and 6 Guatemalans working together with the local churches. We saw 633 patients, gave them the medicines they needed and most importantly shared the love of Jesus Christ with all. During this 5 days of ministry 142 people prayed one on one with a local person to begin entrusting their lives to Jesus Christ, Hallelujah!

Two 40 foot Containers filled with medical supplies have been delivered to Guatemala. One to Dr Luke Ryhee at Healing Guatemala, and second to the Health Center in La Gomera, Escuintla. NOW we have 2 more containers filled with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) en route. One to Campeche, Mexico, the other to SOSEP, a government entity in Guatemala. Pray for safe passage and favor at the port. This is very exiting, but I will be a bit anxious until each container is at it’s destination. Guatemala and Mexico have health care professionals, but lack the appropriate amount of equipment and supplies. We are changing that one suitcase, and one shipping container at a time.

Well Drilling continues and we have 3 teams traveling in the latter half of the year. Be praying for our teams, Jaime Torres and his crew, and the people whose lives will be changed with the blessing of clean water.
